Kristie Coonce, MA, LPC, is the Director of Admissions for Alsana. She has been working in behavioral health care for more than 13 years. Since 2012, she’s specialized in the treatment of eating disorders – her true passion.
She earned her Master’s Degree in International Disaster Psychology from the @uofdenver . Once she began working with clients with eating disorders, she never looked back! She is passionate about helping clients heal from negative relationships with their bodies, dismantling diet culture, and helping clients imagine and achieve full lives beyond their eating disorders.
As Director of Admissions, she oversees the admissions process at Alsana and ensures each client has a clear path to treatment. “I chose to join Alsana because I believe that treating the whole person is crucial to long-lasting recovery from an eating disorder,” Coonce said. “The quality of care, compassionate staff, and culture of being lovingly direct allow our staff to provide the most excellent setting for recovery and healing. I could not be more thrilled to be part of such a dynamic, skilled, and caring team of humans.”
Outside of work, Kristie enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and two young daughters, cheering on the Packers, and singing any chance she gets.
