
Eating with “all five” senses is an excellent way to integrate mindfulness at mealtime. We’ve all been in less-than-ideal mealtime situations in which physical nourishment is the main -if not the only- objective. Diet culture would have us believe that the value of food/mealtime is based solely on nutritional value, but that is not the case. Food is fuel but it’s also so much more.
Every single part of you deserves nourishment, and overall wellness cannot be achieved while some of these parts are neglected.

Whenever possible, take advantage of opportunities to be fully present while preparing, eating, and even sharing a meal.
